Inner Compass Coaching
Inner Compass Coaching is about asking the way to the spring. All of the great teachers like Christ, Buddha, Rumi, ask us to look within for that spring. Sometimes, I have felt so lonely or isolated that I didn’t even believe there was a spring within me. Yet there is a seeker within you and me who is searching for the direction of his/her life that is in harmony with which some call God, The Tao, Right Way, Wisdom. When we move in harmony with The Source life flows effortlessly and powerfully.
Our work together involves the client bringing meaningful personal objects to the session. With these objects we invoke the Source and help redirect the client’s energies in line with this Source. The following is a brief example of the work:
Sarah's Story
Sarah walks into the room smiling but shy and carrying a brightly colored bag containing treasured objects from her world. Slowly, a small wooden horse, a picture of her husband and children, her lap top computer, a stone cross and lastly a small velvet heart are revealed in the room.
She places the five objects out on the rug as if she were laying out the points on a compass. Standing in the middle of the room she taps into the energy within herself, the objects and the Source. The objects represent energies, wishes, important areas of her life. We can both feel the energy in the objects as they begin to guide us on her path to redirecting the place each has had and will have in her life. As she works with the stone cross, she brings out a picture of her father. We uncover a deep grief and gently allow the needed space and time. Through this uncovering, Sarah is finally able to give her father the place in her heart and memory he deserves.
One by one the objects almost reposition themselves around the room creating an energetic field in alignment with who Sarah is at the deepest level.
The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Don’t go back to sleep.
You must ask for what you really want.
Don’t go back to sleep.
People are going back and forth across the doorsill
where the two worlds touch.
The door is round and open.
Don’t go back to sleep.
